Senior Pet Care
We recommend scheduling senior wellness exams twice a year. These visits typically include a complete blood count, chemistry panel, and urinalysis. In some cases, further diagnostic tests such as additional lab work or imaging may be necessary.
Senior care is a collaborative effort, requiring the commitment and teamwork of a loving caregiving team. At PRAH, we are dedicated to working alongside you to ensure your pet receives the best care, helping them enjoy a comfortable and fulfilling life during this rewarding yet sometimes challenging stage.

Common signs that may indicate health concerns in senior pets include:
- Changes in appetite

- Difficulty breathing or rapid breathing at rest
- Sudden collapse or episodes of weakness
- Trouble climbing stairs or jumping
- Lameness or stiffness when getting up
- Difficulty chewing, drooling, or bad breath
- Poor grooming habits
- Withdrawing from family or hiding more often
